Get Your New Canada Workers Benefit on July 12, 2024

The next quarterly payment for the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) will be sent on July 12, 2024. This payment helps Canada’s lowest-paid workers afford their daily needs. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) handles these payments.

What is the Canada Workers Benefit?

The Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) helps individuals and families who work but do not make enough money. The CWB has two parts: the basic amount and the disability supplement.

Starting in July 2023, the CWB has been providing advance payments equal to 50% of the CWB in three installments under the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB).

How Does the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit Work?

The ACWB payments are based on the previous year’s tax return. If you received ACWB in 2023, you do not need to apply again for 2024. The payments are made automatically by the CRA.
