The National Youth Development Agency, a beacon of hope and guidance for the young leaders of South Africa, is calling out to all passionate organizations! Through its renowned flagship program, the National Youth Service Programme (NYS), the agency has an exciting proposition.

A Nationwide Engagement

Imagine having the opportunity to be among the chosen ninety (yes, 90!) youth-led organizations across South Africa’s illustrious nine provinces.

With a fair distribution of 10 organizations per province, this program aims for an inclusive growth strategy.

Mark your calendars for a six-month transformative journey, starting from the vibrant bloom of 1 October 2023 and culminating on 31 March 2024.

During the induction period, qualifying organizations will immerse themselves in the norms and standards of the NYS.

But it’s not just about rules and norms. We ensure that every participating organization is armed with innovative tools and templates.

The Eligibility Criteria: Do You Have What It Takes?

Biting your nails wondering if you qualify? Let’s break down the prerequisites:

100% Youth Ownership – The organization should resonate with the dynamism and innovation of youth. It should be 100% youth-owned.
The Age and Nationality Factor – The applicant must be a proud South African citizen, aged between 18 and 35 years. Moreover, they should focus on community and youth development programmes that offer solution-oriented approaches.
The Operational Tenure – Your organization should have a legacy, albeit a young one. It must be in operation for a period of 0-3 years.
